Detoxification means cleaning the blood and getting rid of unhealthy toxins.  This is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination.  I love detoxifying my body every quarter and this is one of those phases. I try to keep my diet mainly on raw, lightly sauted or baked vegetables, 3 servings of fruits and loads of water and herbal supplements. Feel like awesome. One of the meals I had today was roasted Red and green Cabbage Steaks with Cilantro sauce. And it is  #vegan#detoxdiet#glutenfree #vegetarian

 Ingredients
  • 1/2 head red, savoy or green cabbage cut into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • 1-2 cloves of minced garlic
  • ½ apple
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 sprig fresh herbs (Thyme, rosemary)
For Garnishing
  • Pea shoots
  • Colored peppers
Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray some oil.
  2. In a blender combine olive oil, apple, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, freshly ground garlic and make the dressing.
  3. Arrange the cabbage slices in a single layer and brush with the dressing.
  4. Put in the oven and roast until cabbage slices are soft and edges are golden.
  5. It took 30-35 minutes in oven for me.
  6. Serve with lemon juice or cilantro dressing or relish of your choice and garnish with Pea shoots, colored peppers.
