Orange Peel Peppermint Ginger Tea

I love tea and curling up with a warm cuppa of ginger can be relaxing, especially when the rest of your day is hectic, but drinking too much caffeine has its glitches. Too much caffeine can lead to trouble sleeping, I switched to homemade herbal green tea.

I came up with many versions (Basil, chamomile flowers, chives, dill, lemon, mint, oregano, parsley, peppermint and other mints, rosemary, sage, thyme) of herbal tea, today’s its Orange pepper mint and ginger tea

Ingredients:
  • 1 medium orange – peel only
  • 1 tbs ginger – freshly grated
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • Pepper mint leaves- optional
Method:

If you’ve got some oranges around, you can easily make your own orange peel tea from scratch. Peel the skin from an orange, Add a bit to a cup of boiling water with ginger and peppermint and let it brew for about 5-10 minutes. Remove the herbs  and you’re ready to drink your cup of tea.
