My Panacea for Hair loss

I am not sure how many of us suffer from this hair loss thing. I never lost hair until my daughter (2nd child) was born 2 years back. I tried almost everything but the following have helped me a lot in past 9 months. These 6 home remedies/workouts/diet are my most tested remedies. I have been doing this for last 9  months. Not sure which one worked best for me but all of these did great job to my hair and many of my friends. I do one of these every week and get great results. Don’t say we don’t have time, all we need to set our priorities.

1.Onion Juice

  • Grate one small onion (red, white any).
  • Extract the juice after straining it.
  • Apply the juice directly onto the scalp with cotton ball.
  • Leave it on for about 30-45 minutes, and then wash it off with shampoo.

Alternatively, take 2 tablespoons of onion juice and any mix with any hair oil (I used coconut oil). Apply this mixture onto your scalp and leave it on for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off and shampooing your hair. You can do every time  before you wash your hair.

2. Fenugreek

  • Take  2 tablespoons of dried fenugreek seeds (don’t use pre-made powder in market, make fresh) and grind the seeds to make powder like consistency.
  • Mix this powder with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Mix  well and apply this mixture on the hair. Let it stay on hair until it dries off. Usually 15-20 minutes. Then wash it off with the shampoo.

3.Coconut and curry leaves

  • Take  2-3 tablespoons coconut oil (depending on your hair volume) pour it in a small boiling pan.
  • Add 15-20 fresh curry leaves to it.
  • Heat the oil until you see  leaves fry out nicely and start to turn black and charred.
  • Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down.
  • Strain it with sieve and  apply it to your hair.
  • Leave it on for an hour or overnight and then rinse it with shampoo.

4.Biotin Supplements, water, exercise, and diet: I have severe life threatening egg and honey allergies so on ketogenic/low carb/diet for last 9 months as recommended by doctor. Have started drinking  5-6 liters of water every day. Workout at boot camps, weight training 5 days a week.  Also added biotin supplement too.

5. Liquorice root powder (Mulethi)

  • Take 1 tablespoon liquorice powder.(available in any asian grocery stores or online)
  • Mix with 1-2 tablespoon of Milk
  • Add ½ teaspoon of saffron
  • Apply to the scalp on area of more hair loss.
  • Leave for 8 – 9 hours or overnight.
  • Rinse and shampoo hair.

6. Henna and Indigo: I have stopped using hair colors and doing this hair indigo application once in 3 weeks. Loving the color and texture of my hair.

Hope it helps.
