Homemade Quinoa Flour

I never thought of creating my own quinoa flour at home until I saw the overly priced Quinoa flour in the grocery store. I tried and  I screamed BRAVO BRAVO ! Homemade flour is delicious, healthy, and amazingly easy to make in a high powered grinders or blender – I have a  magic bullet.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups organic quinoa
  • Blender or grinder
Method
  1. Wash, rinse the quinoa nicely.
  2. Spread it on a paper towel or kitchen towel for drying.
  3. Dry the quinoa as much as possible.
  4. Take a flat pan, dry roast on medium heat until slightly golden.  You will get beautiful fragrance while roasting.
  5. Let it cool completely.
  6. Put the roasted quinoa seeds in to the grinder, and pulse to grind the quinoa. Yes, your flour is ready.
  7. You can make dough with your favorite seasonings.
  8. Roll out the bread :I cut a ziplock bag or cellophane sheet or even grocery bag,  cut it with scissors and then place the dough ball inside.
Cover it with upper sheet of ziplock press it with the chhopping board or roll it with rolling pin.
Peel off  the roti/bread in the palm  gently from the sheet. Place on flat  pan and cook.

NOTE: In hurry, you can skip steps 1,2,3,4 (Make sure its pre-washed or organic) and just blend it and make dough.
