Freshly Baked Apple Chips

All of us like apples. Delicious and crunchy, apple fruit is one of the most popular and favorite fruits among everyone. Dried apples are great for snacks and lunchboxes. You can also toss them into a salad, serve alongside a sandwich as you would eat potato chips.

Ingredients:

2 apples (Fuji, Gala or any other variety)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 225°F.
2.  Wash  the apples nicely and wipe off extra water with paper towel.

3. You can cut the core out if you want totally your choice or leave them just as they are. Cut the slices  as thinly as possible, (use a mandolin if you  have one).
4. Arrange slices in a single layer on baking tray lined with parchment paper.
5. Sprinkle cinnamon if you like the flavor. Bake 1 hour; flip slices and continue baking 1 1/2 hours longer or until completely dry and crisp.
6. Timing will vary depending on the moisture content of the apples and how thick you have sliced. Let it cool. Store in an airtight container up to 1 week.

TIP: If you want yummy, crunchy chips bake the apples at a low temperature in the oven.
