Baked Avocado Fries – Pseudo fries


Fries- The name is misleading but avocado is the only fruit that provides a substantial amount of healthy fat. Yes the FAT of good kind. Let’s redefine Avocado.

  • 2 ripe but firm avocados
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon chickpea flour
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder/mustard sauce
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cups bread crumbs (tea rusks)
  • Dried mixed herbs (Rosemary, Oregano, Parsley)


  1. Take 2 Avocados and slice each into 8 equal-sized pieces.
  2. Make a paste with chickpea flour, water, mustard sauce.
  3. Mix the bread crumbs and dry spice mixture (salt, pepper, herbs) in a large plate.
  4. Spread the breading mixture on a plate.
  5. Dip each piece in the chickpea paste mixture and roll on dried breadcrumbs mixed with spices.
  6. Line a baking sheet and spray oil
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, rotating halfway through.
  9. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, on a sandwich, or with a salad.
